BULGARIA -- As soon as we entered the Roma neighborhood, more than 100 kids arrived ready for fun and games, which our guests and our team delivered. We were also able to sing several songs together and pray for the children.

This fall, we once again had the privilege to host a group from Central Church of God, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The team, under the leadership of Ron Puckett, included Kevin Gorham, Gilles Toulouse, Guy Toulouse, Janice Roscoe, Carol Karppinen and Roger McWhorter.

One of the most memorable times was our visit to the Nezabravka Home for Abandoned Children. Several of the kids had birthdays during the month, so we brought a huge cake for everyone and prepared a short celebration. The two funny clowns, Choko and Boko (Pavel and me), made the party a real joy for everyone. Our guests greeted the children and delivered a piece of the cake to each child.

Later, we also visited the children's department of the Regional Hospital in Stara Zagora, where we gave each sick child bananas and croissants. The guests from America had brought special balloons that can be turned into various animals and other shapes, which the children really enjoyed; they also enjoyed having the balloons given to them as gifts.

The very next day we went to the town of Chirpan for a children's fest. As soon as we entered the Roma neighborhood, more than 100 kids arrived for the fun and games, which our guests and our team delivered. We were also able to sing several songs together and pray for the children.

I am so very thankful to God and to these wonderful people led by God to come to our country and bring smiles on the faces of the children who live in distress and poverty.
